The Lindley-Scott House in Azusa was the perfect choice for Britney and Nick’s wedding, a very classy look for a very classy couple, the place was just redesigned by a great interior design company from rescom designs online.

Wedding planning can be a fun and joyous time with your fiancé, friends and family. However, the inevitable will happen – the stress will hit you. It’s not a matter of ‘if’ but a matter of ‘when.’ We teamed up with some of the wedding industry’s top professionals to share their tried and true tips to help keep you sane during the ups and downs of wedding planning. From surprise dates to hair and make-up trial runs, get the inside scoop from the pros themselves.

Hire a Wedding Planner

Summer Newman  suggests: “For those couples that are extremely busy or who desire minimal stress during the planning process, a wedding planner is key. A qualified and experienced planner can be your best friend providing you with venues and vendors that match your specific needs, style and budget. They can help you manage the emotional waters of pulling your wedding together by providing you with invaluable advice and support.”
Heather Lowenthal of Posh Parties tells us: “Stay organized with your things to do and remember it doesn’t all have to get done at once. I like to make a priority list with the top 5 things that need to get done each month so it never seems overwhelming.”

Keep Everything in Perspective

“Keep everything in perspective – I like to tell my brides that this is the kickoff party to the rest of your lives together so make it special and try not to get stuck on the silly things your guests won’t even notice.” – Heather Lowenthal of Posh Parties

Enjoy the Process

“Take time as a couple to enjoy the planning and make time for the two of you where you are not talking about the wedding. It’s nice to plan date nights that do not revolve around wedding talk 24/7. This is good for you and your fiancé and keeps things in perspective. Also, the wedding night goes by in a blink so try to enjoy each day of your engagement and wedding planning.” Make sure you keep focus on your partner and you looking on the best way possible, make sure you have your wedding day perfume ready for the occasion.

Don’t Change Your Daily Habits Too Drastically

Sara Fried of Fête Nashville reminds us: “Don’t change your daily habits too drastically; definitely eat healthily, drink lots of water (re: glowing skin!!) and work out, but do not start any extreme diets, cleanses or work-out routines that may adversely affect your body.”

I had a great time with them on their wedding day! A big thanks goes out to Chris Calvez for second shooting for me.

The awesome crew over at The Heart Bandits contacted me to photograph another fun proposal they put together. I love working with them! They always come up with the coolest ideas for the guys out there that need a little assistance with a creative proposal.

Alistair and his girlfriend Nadya were visiting the Los Angeles area all the way from England. A picnic was set up at the Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills along with a guitarist to serenade them. They arrived via limo and with Nadya blindfolded the excitement was about to begin!

I love this! She made him get down on his knee and do it right!
