Next stop on our trip around the south island of New Zealand was the Catlins, the southern most point of the south island. Me, my brother, and Jake, our good friend from back home in Seattle who is also living in Wanaka, decided to take a couple days for this trip and camp out along the coast. There were so many amazing beaches along the south coast, we just had to stop off at every one we encountered.

How about this for a camp site, the southern most point of the south island, 100ft. or so above crashing waves on a rocky shoreline. Not a bad way to spend a night…
