Just two days after returning from the Caribbean it was time for Tristen and Kevin’s wedding at the incredible Condor’s Nest Ranch up in the hills of Pala, just outside Temecula. They were the amazing couple that I was lucky enough to have model for me at one of the SoCal Photog Shootout events held at my studio a while back. Seriously, they were pros, and you can see that shoot here. They handled being around 50+ cameras with ease, so I knew with just myself at the wedding, they were going to be so comfortable around the camera. There were so many cool details at the wedding, and Tristen and Kevin, along with their friends and family, deserve all the credit because it was only them that were setting up when I arrived in the morning.
To Tristen and Kevin, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your amazing day, it was such a great time and the photos turned out beautiful!

Meet Tristen’s brother, and no, he didn’t wear that during the ceremony thankfully

Hang in there champ, it’s almost time for the kiss…

This was the honeymoon suite they stayed in after the wedding, awesome…

I love the two dogs looking down wondering what the heck is going on

What a beautiful end to the night…

What a HUGE success! I was truly honored when I was asked to host the SoCal Photog Shootout event, it’s such an amazing group and I’m so happy to be a part of it. After months of preparation it was finally time to bring in 50+ photographers, models, makeup artists, hair stylists, and caterers to my new studio, a true test to see what it could handle! A big thanks goes out to Rob Ninja-Nicholson for giving me the opportunity to host the Shootout. I’d also like to thank the other group leaders for sharing their wisdom with everyone, Wai, Hanssie, Matt, and Michelle…you guys freakin’ ROCK! And finally, thanks to all the models, makeup artists, hair stylists and caterers that helped out as well.

Okay, back to the shoot! The theme for the Shootout was “Great Gatsby,” inspired by the fashionable 1930s. I had two incredible models for my group, Tristen and Kevin. They aren’t professional models, but if you ask anyone at the Shootout, they would have disagreed. Tristen and Kevin are one of my awesome couples and I’ll be photographing their wedding next May. The goal for my group to achieve relaxed, romantic portraits working with a real couple. Oh, and I had a cool restored 1930 Oldsmobile care of my buddy Mike to work with as well
Tristen and Kevin, I can’t thank you guys enough for taking the time to help us out, it was a blast and just gets me that much more excited to photograph your wedding!!
